Trying to add accents to your Spanish documents?
You have a couple of ways to get it done…
For Mac Users:
Option-e+a = á
Option-e+e = é
Option-e+i = í
Option-e+o = ó
Option-e+u = ú
Other special characters:
Option-n+n = ñ
Option-u+u = ü
Option + ! = ¡
Shift + Option + ? = ¿
For Windows Users:
1st Option
While pressing the control key press the following keys
Ctrl + ‘, a = á;
Ctrl + ‘, e = é;
Ctrl + ‘, i = í;
Ctrl + ‘, o = ó;
Ctrl + ‘, u = ú;
Other special characters:
Ctrl + ~ + n = ñ;
For ¿ and ¡ use insert symbol. Select normal text under font, and Latin under subset. Click on the symbol you are looking for.
2nd Option
While pressing the ALT press the following keys
ALT 160 = á
ALT 130 = é
ALT 161 = í
ALT 162 = ó
ALT 163 = ú
Other special characters:
ALT 164 = ñ
ALT 168 = ¿
ALT 173 = ¡
ALT 129 = ü
